Inscribed to the wife of Craig L. Fuller, Karen, who served as a White House executive assistant during the Reagan administration. Signed by Colonel Ralph Albertazzie. Includes a note from George J. McFarlane, asking that she give his regards to Mr. Buchanan at the White House.
At the age of 34, Craig L. Fuller was asked to serve as the Chief of Staff for Vice President George H.W. Bush. He had previously served in the Reagan administration as the Assistant to the President for Cabinet Affairs. After serving as Chief of Staff for 4-years, it was assumed that Fuller would follow Bush to the White House in 1989. Shortly after the 1988 election, the President-elect told Fuller that New Hampshire Governor John H. Sununu would serve as his White House Chief of Staff. Fuller was disappointed and decided to return to the private sector, where he enjoyed a successful career in corporate and public affairs.
