Octavo, [five volumes]. Three-quarter red morocco, marbled paper covered boards with thin gilt trim. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers, with red silk bookmark sewn in to each volume. Finely bound by Hatchards of Picadilly, with bindery imprint on verso of free endpaper. Solid text blocks, light rubbing to corners, faint scuffs on boards. Some foxing throughout volumes. A near fine set. Previous ownership inscription at front of each volume.
