Stated “Published March, 1905” on copyright page. Slightly cocked text block, but clean pages. Minor wear to ends of spine. Ex-library copy evident from bookplate on front end paper. Lacking dust jacket. First edition notes: McClure, Phillips & Co. listed at foot of spine, cancel evident at “Marriage of Phaedra” on page 156. Comments: The Troll Garden was Willa Cather’s second publication. Its a collection of seven short stories, four of which were rewritten and published in her later works.
