Frontispiece portrait in both volumes with tissue covers. Marbled endpapers and marbled leaf ends. Clean text and solid text block. Light shelf wear along edges. (Martin/Goehlert, 6031) An exceptionally scarce work on the late President James A. Garfield, written within a year of his assassination in September of 1891.
