Small octavo, xxxi, 248pp. Half red morocco, title in gilt on spine. Matching red cloth boards. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Bound by Morrell of London. The first English edition was printed in 1881. Solid text block, faint sunning to spine, a touch of toning to leaves, a near fine example. Previous ownership bookplate to front endpaper. (BAL 7102)
One other English edition preceded the George Routledge edition by two months, but is only a partial reprint of the true first American edition. (BAL 7101) This is the first complete edition produced by an English publisher.
