Octavo, 317pp. Title on spine over cloth. Stated “first edition” on copyright page. Some wear to spine and residual dust along top edge. In publishers dust jacket, $4.95 on front flap, some wear at edges and toning to spine, otherwise bright and vibrant colors. Later publications of this book would be called “Hitler: The Missing Years.” An overall nice copy in a scarce dust jacket.
Comments: Ernst Hanfstaengl was a German business man and intimate of Adolf Hitler. He joined Hitler in 1923 during the Beer Hall Putsch and provided refuge at his home in Austria while he was being sought by authorities. Hanfstaengl fell out of favor with the fuhrer and defected to the United States before the outbreak of World War II.
