Octavo, [147pp]. Full red morocco, title in gilt on spine. Marbled endpapers. Light wear to covers, solid text block. Includes a note on United States Capitol Historical Society letterhead to the recipient of this copy, signed by Fred Schwengel. From a limited edition of 150 copies, this being number 12. A scarce work, the only known copy to appear on the public market.

This binding is identical to the limited edition of The White House Guide, designed by Jackie Kennedy and signed by President John F. Kennedy in 1963. A similar limited edition of “We, the People” was published in 1965 in a blue leather binding, and limited to 200 copies.
