In the publisher’s near fine dust jacket, faint toning to spine, retail price on the front flap. Signed on the front free endpaper: “To Gary McLeod, With much appreciation and high regard. Henry A. Kissinger.” Includes the business card of agent McLeod affixed to the front free endpaper. A unique association piece.
Special Agent Gary M. McLeod was a lifelong agent with the United States Secret Service. He was the lead secret service agent in 1971 when Kissinger made a secret trip to China, to lay the foundation for the visit of President Richard Nixon the following year.
