Publishers brown stamped cloth, title and illustrations in gilt on spine and front cover, blind stamped rear panel. Frontispiece portrait with “Moses” caption (State A), portrait frontispiece (State B) with slanted lines on lapel, curved inner borders on cover (State B). All four typographic errors mentioned in BAL 3386 are present. (Bal 3386) Reinforced spine. Solid text block with clean endpapers and no extraneous marks. An excellent example.
