Top edge stained green, light offsetting to endpapers. Text block fine. Publisher’s first state dust jacket, with $2.50 on front flap, light wear along top edge, faint toning to spine, short closed tear to rear panel at hinge, a bright, near fine example.

This was John Hersey’s first book, which follows General Douglas MacArthur’s defense of Bataan.
