Octavo, 395pp. Brown cloth, title stamped in gilt on spine. Stated “erste auflage 1946” on copyright page (first edition). Translated from the English edition by Harry Kahn, which was also released in 1946. Book appears unread, in near fine condition. In the publisher’s dust jacket, light toning to spine, tape repair to verso, repair tear to rear endpaper, chipping along edges.
Signed by Montgomery on the front free endpaper.
