Light damp staining to cover, First edition points include the following: Height of 137 cm, 30 chapters, 1-250pp, first edition portrait of Mao, contains calligraphic error on “Lin Endorsement” page, with extra brush stroke on second column from the right, second character down. This error was not corrected until 1965. (Points from Oliver Lei Han, Sources and Early Printing History of Chairman Mao’s “Quotations.”) The paper wrapper edition predated the iconic red vinyl edition.
Comments: The “Little Red Book” would become the second most printed book in history, after the bible.
