Thank you letter from former President George H.W. Bush to the EVP of The Scooter Store, offering the thanks of “…one happy old guy on one great looking scooter.”

Photograph of President Bush on his new scooter, with inscription: “To Mike Pfister with best wishes,” – with a note added by President Bush “and many thanks, George Bush.” A great post-presidential piece, with PSA certificate included.
In later life, former President Bush suffered from vascular parkinsonism, a form of Parkinson’s disease. He experienced increasing weakness in his legs after hip replacement surgery in 2007, eventually requiring the full-time use of a wheelchair or scooter by 2011. The full letter reads: “Dear Mike, Here is a photo showing one happy old guy on one great looking scooter. I love my scooters, and I can’t thank you and Doug and Mark enough for your kindness and generosity. At age 86, almost 87, thoughtful gestures like this mean more to me than ever. With gratitude and warm regards, George Bush.”
