Limited edition of The Inaugural Address of Richard Nixon, from the estate of Rex Scouten. Small octavo, 19pp. blue cloth, gilt title on spine, presidential seal and title on cover. Red end papers. Clean pages. Publishers original slipcase, white cloth, presidential seal on side, foxing on covers. This is a commemorative edition of 1000 copies, printed for supporters and associates of President Richard Nixon. Includes note from Nixon secretary Rose Mary Woods, addressed to Rex Scouten, with personal wish that Mr. Scouten keep this in his personal library.

Comments: Rex Scouten was the Chief Usher under four US Presidents (Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan), then White House curator from 1986 until 1997. Scouten was known to be professional and discrete in his relationships with the nations top leaders. He developed a true friendship with the Nixon family, with the Nixon children continuing to write to him even after their father left office.
