Stated “first edition” on copyright page. In publisher’s dust jacket, retail price on front flap, light wear and toning to spine, small closed tear to top edge of the front panel. Inscribed on the half-title: “For Dick Spong – A wise observer of the political scene and a generous friend. With good wishes and regards. David S. Broder. Washington, DC. Nov. 28, 1967.”
Comments: David Broder (1929 – 2011) was a journalist for the Washington Post for 40 years. He was a frequent guest on Meet the Press, with over 400 appearances. He won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1973.
