Senator Robert C. Byrd served in the United States Senate from 1959-2010, representing the state of West Virginia. The recipient of this book, William S. Sessions (1930-2020), was nominated in 1987 to serve as Director of the FBI. He would serve three administrations, being dismissed at the behest of President Clinton in 1993.
