Description

The first edition, first printing of Whither Bound? by Franklin D. Roosevelt, in the publisher’s scarce dust jacket.

Small octavo, vii, [blank], 34pp. Blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, embossed illustration on cover. Light offsetting to endpapers. In the publisher’s dust jacket, blue printed text, professional restoration to top quarter of rear panel, faint soiling to panels, some chips at the head and heel of the spine, a very good example. This printing was limited to 1000 copies. (Halter T453)

This work is based on a speech that Franklin Roosevelt gave at Milton Academy for the Alumni War Memorial Foundation, on May 18, 1926. This book is the first commercial publication from the future President of the United States.
