Agnew.” Includes numerous pencil notes by Mr. Thompson, both condemning and defending Agnew’s conduct. His notes include references campaign finance violations that were “clearly wrong! The recipient of this book, Herbert L. Thompson and his wife, Ann, met Spiro Agnew while he was governor of Maryland, serving as his principal staff assistant. When Agnew was elected vice president, Herb Thompson accompanied him to Washington as his press secretary and chief speech writer to the vice president. His wife, Ann, served as served press secretary to Second Lady Judy Agnew.
