Octavo, 300pp. Woven cloth, title in red on spine. Stated “first edition” on copyright page. Solid text block, dust remnants to top edge, toning to endpapers, a near fine example. Previous ownership inscription on front endpaper, dated August 1941. In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, $2.50 retail price, chipping to top and bottom edges, shelf wear, faint stains to verso not visible on front of jacket. A bright, scarce example by William Faulkner’s younger brother.
